During the first few days, some of the takeaways I have from attending the 2023 American Society for Horticultural Science in Orlando, Florida were how the event highlighted:

1) the vast array of career opportunities within horticulture, 
2) showcased numerous high-quality presentations by students and early career scientists, and 
3) emphasized the incredible diversity of backgrounds that are propelling the industry forward.
